Second lyric post...

Cantina Del Amore

Pardon me sir, I've noticed you've been in this tavern so long, And I can see that your drinks have been much too strong, Is there something wrong? I can tell by the look in your eyes, You were once a good man, I've seen it so many times, Yet I'm still dismayed, Have you been betrayed? Maybe I could help you forget. Last night I saw you cry, But not all women lie, I hope you can believe it, We're still young can't you see it's no reason to die, What's meant to be can't be denied, In me please confide. Maybe I could help you forget. Maybe I could help you, I if I may, I if you'll let me, I please let me, I can help you forget.

Alicia

I know it's wrong, But I don't care. There's nobody like you, No not anywhere. My life was hopeless, From the day that we met, 'Cause I knew that I'd love you, And I knew you'd forget. Alicia, Your better than love, Your better than music, And even better than drugs, (though some of those drugs are pretty good) You'll never know, How loved you are, Way up in the heavens, Out there with the stars. So it's the end, I'll say goodbye to all my sloppy friends, 'Cause I pissed off your boyfriend, And he'll sure do me in, But it's good to die, For what you believe, And if I die for love, I'll be a hero to me. Alicia, Yeah your Worcester's best. Hipper than Abby Hoffman, And you even know who that is. You'll never know, How loved you are. Yeah I wrote you letters, Please don't take it so hard.

First lyric post...

Errandboy

Welcome everyone to this here little song, I know nobody's listening, so I'll just sing along. It's better than what I have to do all day and all night long, I'm getting kind of weary of bearing all these wrongs, My bosses think an intern is a God, But I'm an Errandboy. I wish I were a man, But I'm an Errandboy. & no one understands, That I'm an Errandboy, who's never making plans. Goin' through it all to see a star I like So before somebody throws a beer can I go get 'em one? It's what I do for work, and what I do for fun. Someday I'll have an office building unlike other ones, Filled with homeless former ceo's that started out as one, I'm an Errandboy, and it's not much to be, But I'm an Errandboy, three cheers for those like me, I'm an Errandboy, it's the new way to be free, At least on payments of fifty bucks a week. Yeah I'm an Errandboy, and I am not ashamed to be an Errandboy, 'cause it's the noblest way to fame, Just an Errandboy, level one on any game, And I'm a damn good Errandboy, who's got unrealistic goals, That's what a shrinker said to me and denied me ssi. So I said "Oh boy! I'll move to Hollywood and work for Beggars coins so parties will admit me, And then I can annoy pseudo celebrities, By asking for the girl of my dreams." Here's what I'll hear untill the day I die, "Hey Errandboy!"

The Barking Dog Band

Hey mister d.j. I heard they think your a star, I guess you wrote all those tunes that you sample from. Well the toys don't thrill me, and the loops don't Steal me, How'd you learn how to turn that on? Hey may I have a riff please, and can you even sing at All? They're just a barking dog band, And no I can't understand, They sound like barking dogs man. Who let them out of the pen? Oh. Oh no nnnnn no no no not again, It kind of hurts my ears they even made it here. I wish they'd go away, 'cause I'm sorry to say, That I'm just not entertained, By all the barking dog bands, And no I can't understand, They sound like barking dogs man, I aint givin' them a hand, no They're just a barking dog band, And no I can't understand, They sound like barking dogs man, They need to play kick the can, Oh they're just a barking dog band, I'm glad I can't understand, They sound like barking dogs man, Come get them off my land.

 This Old World

This Old World, I hear her cry, And all her days and nights are only filled with goodbyes, From broken hearts, true love has gone, Forgotten souls, under the setting sun. Deep in my heart I know there's a reason why, There's a reason why, everything that lives must die. And when they put me in the ground, I'll know that this old world, this old world will just keep spinning 'round. It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round, It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round She gave him all her love, under the setting sun, He'd cry a million tears, before it was said and done. Though a lot of dreams came true, there were some others that just faded away, How was he to know she'd never live another day. Deep in his heart he knows there's a reason why, There's a reason why, everything that lives must die. And when they put him in the ground, He'll know that this old world, this old world will just keep spinning 'round. It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round. It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round. This old man, he wants to die, Walk a mile in his shoes and you might know the reason why, Just the other day they laid his only daughter in the ground, And you know this old world, just kept on spinning, and spinning around. Deep in his heart he knows there's a reason why, There's a reason why everything that lives must die. And when they put her in the ground, He knows that this old world, this old world will just keep spinning 'round. It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round, It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round It'll just keep on spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round.

  State of Mind

Look around, something's been holding you down. It was just your mind, thank God you've still got some time, I know your lonley, C'mon and spend some time with me, Your not the only one who wants to feel a little ectstacy. When your destination seems so far, Look up and find the morning star, Do your best to leave your worries behind, Because I know it's just a state of mind. Look inside, something's been making you hide. It was just your fear, thank God you still can see clear I know your not free, C'mon and walk a while with me. Your not the only one who needs to have a little company When they tell you that your dream's not real, Say "You can't tell me how to feel" Do your best to leave those fools behind, Because you know it's just a state of mind.

 Stoners

Stoners, they're cool, they're nice, They're the kind of folks I like, One of 'em let me ride his bike, And one gave me a place to crash tonight. Stoners, they like to laugh, and relax, And kick back, Yeah we're stoners everyday, and this is what we've gots to say. Don't make me pee in a cup, Oh it's just the way I like waking up, Aint never gonna blow nothin' up, And there won't be wreck 'cause I aint drivin' drunk. So don't make me pee in a cup, Oh it's just the way I like wakin' up, Just like my life a little funked up, So give us all a break and lock someone else up. I'm just a stoner, workin' hard, payin' bills, I take a hit and just chill. I don't wanna to take no lame assed pills, And aint no one around me'll ever get killed, 'Cause I'm a stoner, not a robber, or a raper, Sure aint no CIA caper, And the first hit didn't get me hooked on crack, So no one's gotta be tellin' lies like that. Don't make me pee in a cup, Oh it's just the way I like wakin' up. Aint never gonna shoot nothin' up, And there won't be a wreck 'cause I aint drivin' drunk. So don't make me pee in a cup, Oh it's just the way I like wakin' up, Just like my life a little funked up, So give us all a break and lock someone else up, I'm just a stoned stoner, yeah, hoo! We're not the Jonesers, Can I come over, Everybody who's a stoner? The drug war's over! I know the winners, The cops should leave us alone, I said a leave us alone, You better leave us alone!

God Won't Knock You Down

Far away, as far as the brightest star still shines, Still shines today, And I feel a hurricane, Blowin' in my mind again, People tell you that they are your friends. But God won't knock you down, Put you where your a clown, But still I dream away, Through all the years of yesterday. God won't knock you down, Put you where you can't be found, But baby still I dream away, Wonder how I ever stayed away, Ever stayed away. Then seeds are sown, In our sacred hearts he makes, He makes his home, And I feel his presance there, Coming in my soul again, Wondering where I might've been. But God won't knock you down, Put you where your a clown, But still I dream away, Through all the years of yesterday, God won't knock you down, Put you where you can't be found, But baby still I dream away, Wonder how I ever stayed away, Ever stayed away, Ever stayed away, Ever stayed away, Ever stayed away, God won't knock you down.

 Lady Luck

All my life I've been held down, By something I just can't say, And I've been waiting for lady luck, To send a little luck my way, Playing this guitar, singing these songs, With sweet melodies, Is the only good deal I ever got, And all my momma, ever gave me, Lady luck, Lady luck, send a little luck my way, Lady luck, Lady luck, you can even send it on a rainy day, And I can feel the sun is shinning, Shinning in my heart, yeah, Even when the thunder's rumbling, Rumbling in the dark, yeah All my life I've been ripped off, Soemthing's always in the way, And I've been hoping that Lady luck, Could lead me to a lucky day, We're all just horses, running down the track, Who's the winner gonna be? But all the horses can care about, Is does my master really love me? Lady luck, Lady luck, send a little luck my way, Lady luck, Lady luck, you can even send it on a rainy day, And I can feel the sun is shinning, Shinning in my heart, yeah, And I can hear those hooves a pounding, Pounding down the park, yeah, All my life I've been cheated, In every game I've ever played, And I've been praying that Lady luck, Could send a little luck my way, Whether your playing cards, Rollin dice or Roulette, The house always wins, Well if my heaven's a gamblin' house, Will the dealer deal me in? Lady luck, Lady luck, send a little luck my way, Lady luck, Lady luck, you can even send it on a rainy day, And I can feel the sun is shinning, Shinning in my heart, yeah, Even though I'm always running from that mean mean mean old loan shark, yeah.

 Yuletide Lament

As I saw the humble decorations, at the V.O.A. I wondered just what good did I get done this year? There's no snow in Downtown L.A. unless you count displays For the clearance sale they're having on good cheer. Though I'm sad I can't be like the family's shopping, There's something better anyone can give for free. I'll give you one true friend for christmas, Yes he's guarenteed, To be there when your down, Anytime you need, Yeah here's one true friend for christmas, one who'll always know what's right, And who'll be there by your side, for every last good fight. In the toy importer's windows, there was no sign to be found, for somebody who would always be around. There were lots of giant boxes but not all of them had toys, some of them had problems some could not avoid. Could there be something that everybody needed, That wasn't on a list or under any tree? Well here's one true friend for christmas, In case we've all run out, it could be the gift, That christmas is about, yeah here's one true friend for christmas, and I might be the last one, Unless you find a way, to make another one. Yeah it might be an unrealistic goal, But I'm gonna give it from my soul, And I know it's worth more than a lump of coal, Or a pot of Gold. So give 'em one true friend for christmas, Before we disapear, beneath the tides of war, Where the apathetic lear, Yeah give 'em one true friend for christmas, Am I making myself clear? Or you can give one to yourself, When no one else is here.
